This extraordinary area, dedicated to preserving and protecting trees, provided the perfect canvas for the children’s artistic vision. With the guidance of the dedicated rangers, a tree was carefully selected, one that required removal as part of their regular management practices.
Adorned with a delightful array of ornaments, Christmas in the Past transports us to a bygone era of elegance and charm. Each decoration, meticulously handcrafted by the children, evokes the timeless beauty of Victorian traditions. Hand-written notes describing the Victorian-era hang from the branches along side dried orange segments, and intricately woven paper chains drape the tree in a tapestry of colours and textures.
