Gruinard Beach

To access Gruinard Beach, parking is available opposite the beach along the A832. As you make your way towards the shore, you must descend a fairly steep set of stairs, adding a sense of anticipation to your journey. Be mindful that the area is fairly remote, and no facilities are available at the beach. Consider bringing a picnic to savour as you soak in the serenity of this untouched paradise.

Mellon Udrigle Beach

Although a little off the beaten track, Mellon Udrigle is well worth the detour. Located just off the A832, a single track road leads you from the village of Laide towards the remote settlement of Mellon Udrigle. As you approach, leave your car in the parking area just before the village and embark on a serene wooden boardwalk that guides you towards the beach, adding a touch of anticipation to your journey.

Drive along the B8056 until you reach the very end, where the car park awaits. When visiting Red Point, please be mindful of the limited parking available. The small parking area in Red Point, just beyond the viewpoint, can become busy during peak season. It is essential to park considerately and avoid leaving your car at the side of the road, ensuring a positive experience for both visitors and locals alike.
