World Toilet Day
Wednesday 19th November 2025
As World Toilet Day approaches on 19th November, the GALE Centre is buzzing with activity and community spirit. This year, the focus is on raising funds to support sanitation projects, and everyone’s coming together to make a difference. Two key players in this philanthropic effort are Poolewe Primary and the local Community Bakers, both of whom have generously donated cakes for this important cause.
Poolewe Primary's Contribution
The talented pupils of Poolewe Primary have been busy in their kitchens, crafting a delightful array of cakes. Their sweet creations are not just a treat for the taste buds but also serve a noble purpose. The proceeds from these cake sales will go directly to Toilet Twinning, an initiative that aims to provide safe and hygienic toilet facilities in some of the world’s poorest communities. Here’s what the pupils had to say about their involvement:
“We’re thrilled to be part of World Toilet Day at the GALE Centre. Making cakes was fun, and knowing that our efforts will help others is even better. We hope everyone enjoys the cakes and supports Toilet Twinning!”
Community Bakers' Sweet Support
In parallel, the Community Bakers have also stepped up to the plate, quite literally! Their contribution of cakes will support the maintenance and improvement of the Aultbea Toilets, ensuring that local facilities remain clean and accessible for everyone. This effort reflects a strong sense of community responsibility and a commitment to local wellbeing.
Join Us at the GALE Centre
