Community Wealth Building
We live in an unfair economy where wealth is held by the few and the gap between rich and poor is ever increasing.
We are working to build a fairer local economy, stopping locally generated wealth from flowing out of our communities and villages and keeping this wealth in the hands of local people.
We do this by creating sustainable, long term, year round jobs and income generating opportunities for local people; by supporting local social enterprises and community owned initiatives and by supporting locally owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

Sustainable Service Provision via Community Ownership
We live in a community where service provision is fragile and vulnerable. Low population, high cost of delivery and huge seasonal fluctuations in demand make service provision challenging and unsustainable in our area. As a result the public and private sectors are often unable to meet our needs.
We are working to increase sustainable service provision, by reducing reliance on public and private sector provision and working to meet our own needs within our community. We do this by supporting the community ownership, control and delivery of local services.

Local Democracy and Community Empowerment
We know that when local people have control over the things that matter to them we will have a healthier, wealthier and more sustainable community that better meets the needs and aspirations of local people.
We are working to build a rich and robust democracy, re-negotiating power in order to give local people more control over their lives and their future.

Health and Wellbeing
We need to invest in the health and wellbeing of our community, seeing the fantastic opportunities we already have and recognising them as important and worth retaining. We want to nurture things that we know improve health and wellbeing such as kindness and compassion, social connection and a sense of belonging, opportunities to help others and volunteer and a respect and care for our natural environment.
We are working to build an cohesive, fair and inclusive community where health and happiness of local people is the priority.
