More Deaths than One: As his plane descends towards Riyadh expatriated businessman Thomas Thornton notices once again the red letter warning on his landing card: ‘Death to drugs dealers’. Welcome back to Saudi Arabia: to his home, to his family, to the yacht and marine supplies company he runs for Sheikh Abdul-Rahman Al-Sottar. The landing card warning always reminds him of that long past life.
But nothing has prepared him for what comes next, as he is arrested and charged with a crime of which is is entirely innocent.
Even for a man so resourceful, with a special forces past as dangerous and difficult as his own, injustice is a very bitter pill. In jail with his new friends the American oilman George Shultz, the Eritrean accountant Saeed Obdurman and the ancient Saudi tribesman Mubarak Al-Jidha Thomas plots escape, investigation and retribution. He has not forgotten his old skills.
