We are thrilled to introduce Iona, our Shieling Project Development Manager at GALE. In her role, Iona is at the helm of a series of innovative pilot projects designed to unlock the full potential of the Shieling space. She is dedicated to evaluating the outcomes of these initial efforts, which will help GALE craft sustainable long-term strategies for the site.

Iona brings a wealth of experience from her diverse background in small businesses and the hospitality sector, complemented by her keen attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills. Her mission is to transform the Shieling into a vibrant and valuable community asset. With an MSc in Anthropology and Planetary Health, Iona is excited to see community development theories come to life and is committed to fostering sustainable, community-owned growth. Growing up in the Highlands, she is particularly passionate about contributing to the Highland community and is delighted to settle into life on the breathtaking west coast.
