As a business owner within the Gairloch area, your voice and insights are crucial in shaping the future of our community. GALE has been approached by the Gairloch Community Council (GCC) to assist in reaching out to as many businesses as possible. We encourage you to take a few moments out of your busy schedule to complete the survey conducted by the GCC. Your participation will contribute to the development of a Local Place Plan that will guide the growth and development of our community.
Why is the Local Place Plan Important?
Similar to other Community Councils across Scotland, the GCC is working on a Local Place Plan that will be officially registered with the Highland Council later this year. This plan aims to outline proposals for the development and use of land within the Gairloch Community Council area, based on the aspirations of our community. The Highland Council planning team will rely on this plan to make informed decisions about our area’s future.
Your Role in Shaping the Action Plan
To ensure that the Local Place Plan truly reflects the needs and desires of local businesses, the GCC is conducting a survey in collaboration with Planning Aid Scotland. We understand that the summer season is a busy time for many businesses, but your input is vital in identifying areas where changes may be needed. By completing the survey, you will provide valuable insights that will help develop an action plan to address these needs.
Importance of Your Participation
It is of utmost importance that as many businesses as possible have their say in this survey. Your perspective as a business owner will help the GCC map out where changes need to happen (or not happen) and guide the development of the action plan. Rest assured, your participation will only require approximately ten minutes of your time.
