Lewie’s Croft is a unique, architecturally designed property that provides a luxurious experience that you will remember forever.  Nestled into the hills of Cove, a tranquil hamlet on a secluded peninsula of the Western Highlands, surrounded by towering mountains, sandy beaches and sweeping sea views.  Cove makes an excellent base to explore the Gairloch area and the North Coast 500.

 

A Breathtaking Example of Eco-Sensitive Design

Lewie’s Croft was designed by the esteemed architect Stuart Bagshaw, winner of the Grand Designs Home of the Year award in 2008.  Bagshaw’s work is inspired by the historic blackhouses of the Highlands and Islands, instantly recognisable for their dry-stone walls crowned by a turf or thatch roof.  At Lewie’s Croft, these traditional blackhouse features, combined with undulating walls, result in an extraordinary house, which would not look out of place in a Highland Folklore tale.

 

Built to blend into the landscape, natural materials have been used throughout the house wherever possible.  Local quarries provided all of the stone used in the property, while the floors are laid with oak and flagstone of the highest craftsmanship by Strathearn Stone & Timber Ltd. Even the porcelain light fittings are handmade from clay with love and care by the artisans at Lam Lighting.
