Fee Bellamy Joins HECP as Administrative Assistant
Gairloch and Loch Ewe Action Forum (GALE) is excited to announce the appointment of Fee Bellamy as the new Administrative Assistant for the Highland Energy Community Partnership (HECP). This initiative is dedicated to addressing the challenges of home decarbonisation and alleviating fuel poverty in the remote Scottish Highlands. Coordinated by Changeworks and supported by funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, HECP empowers local communities to embrace energy efficiency and combat climate change.
Fee brings significant experience to her new role, having previously run her own business and held several PA positions. Her expertise in coordinating multiple work streams equips her well for the administrative demands of this position, making her a fantastic addition to our team. She is enthusiastic about her new responsibilities, stating, “I am eager to support our community initiatives and help streamline our efforts towards a sustainable future.”
The HECP project focuses on key initiatives, including promoting environmentally friendly energy use, assisting communities in retrofitting their homes, and sharing insights to extend rural retrofit activity beyond the project area. Our community partners – Coigach Community Development Company, Lochbroom and Ullapool Community Trust, GALE, The Garve and District Development Company, Contin, Jamestown and Tarvie Projects, and Transition Black Isle – play a vital role in delivering these activities. Additionally, support from The Highland Council, the University of the Highlands and Islands, and Home Energy Scotland enhances our efforts to empower communities.
With Fee on board the HECP delivery team is now complete. We are eager to continue our mission of fostering sustainable energy practices and making a positive impact on the lives of households across the Highlands.
