Dear Friends and Neighbours,
I hope this letter finds you well. As the Project Development Manager at the Shieling, I’m reaching out to share an exciting initiative we’re launching: the Swap & Share Library! Many of you may know that GALE has operated a successful book exchange at the GALE Centre for years, and with the Shieling now open, we’re thrilled to expand this opportunity for our community.
To make the Swap & Share Library a success, we need your support in gathering more books. We’re asking for your generous donations throughout November and beyond. This is a wonderful chance to pass along your preloved books – whether they’re fiction, non-fiction, or titles for babies and young readers.
You can drop off your books at either the GALE Centre or at the Shieling during our opening hours. Please remember to bring a bag for any new treasures you may want to take home from the library! If you don’t have any books to donate this time, that’s perfectly okay! We invite you to come in and browse our collection to find something you’d like to read.
To celebrate Book Week from November 17-23, we’re offering a special treat: 25% off hot drinks at the Shieling. So why not swap a book, stay awhile, and enjoy a brew!
