Catering and Events Manager
17.5 hours/week
£30,983 - £32,866 pro rata (£17.02 - £18.05 per hour); 7 weeks paid holiday (pro rata)
GALE is looking to employ a Catering and Events Manager to lead and develop our catering and events services at The GALE Centre and Shieling in Gairloch. The position is based at The GALE Centre and Shieling, requiring an average of 28 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work. The starting salary is £30,983 (pro rata), plus generous holiday entitlement and employee benefits.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our food services, from planning and preparation to customer service, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and creating a recognisable image for GALE events. Your leadership will guide a small team, and your creativity will help us expand our catering offerings while maximising community benefits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hands-on management of day-to-day operations
- Overseeing events from concept to evaluation
- Budget management and cost-effective stock control
- Promoting an inclusive culture within your team
